Our Journey
In November of 2021, Kartisa (affectionately known by those who love her as Tesha), was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease 3. In ten months, she was on dialysis. A hard working mother of two (Zaylen & Kaiden) and loving wife (Quincy), Tesha's life had been turned upside down! All of a sudden, a number of difficult choices had to be made and a new journey had begun.
A Decision to Share
With so many decisions, came just as many questions. What we found was that their were many like us scared, confused, and frustrated. What we found more is that many were in these emotions alone or feeling abandoned.
So, we decided to begin sharing our story. In sharing our story, we begin to find strength and comfort. And, so too did others. What we also found were answers and purpose.
Though our journey is new, we are committed to walk our "Piece of the Way." A piece of the way is our way of saying doing as much as we can. Life is hitting plenty of people hard now and many cannot do as much as they'd like to do. Some days it'll be just a smile we can share, others a meal, others an encouraging word, and other day we'll have little or nothing at all to share.
